Jenna Nevrin, known as @jennalovisa, is a strength-training lover, health-focused and one of our Xlash ambassadors. We asked her about everything from her best beauty tips to the eternal question of makeup and working out.
Jenna's best beauty tips
"I think natural is always the most beautiful. Naturally long lashes from Xlash are probably my absolute best lifehack, actually."
Jenna combines Xlash Eyelash Serum with creams and highlights that give the skin radiance, for a natural, healthy-looking look without any fuss.
From lash extensions to Xlash
Jenna's journey with Xlash began after she removed her lash extensions and noticed that her natural lashes barely existed.
"Xlash has literally taken me from 0 to 100, for real. I think it took me about 7-8 weeks to reach the full result, and then I was hooked. Since it takes about three seconds to apply the serum and I barely need to use mascara or curl my lashes, I save loads of time. I LOVE how much easier it's made things."
Makeup and working out – what's the deal?
Jenna trains five days a week with a focus on strength training and is clear that it's entirely up to each person whether they want to work out with or without makeup.
"I actually feel freshest without makeup, because the skin really gets to breathe and the pores don't get clogged. That said, I usually wear very little makeup, so it's not the end of the world if I head to the gym with makeup on."
Jenna's tips for feeling fresh at the gym
Hand hygiene is everything. Wash your hands both before and after your workout, and avoid touching your face with dirty hands. Bring face wipes to remove your makeup at the start of your workout or straight afterwards if you feel sweat and makeup have mixed.
And the best way to quickly feel really fresh?
"One of the best things I know is washing off a face mask and feeling the effect it gives the skin. Right after, washing your face, using a lovely scrub and finishing by moisturising your whole face. Dreamy."
