You’re personal trainer, model, tennis player, and run your social media! How long have you been active for?
I have always loved photography and film. When I was 12, my sister asked me to “model” so she could try out her new camera. I think that’s when I realized how much fun it was being in front of a camera. 3-4 years ago I started posting more frequently on my social media, a lot of it was from the tennis court and tips on exercises that can help me become a better tennis player. There I noticed that my following increased and that many appreciated my tips.
Why tennis?
I started playing tennis (with a foam ball!) when I was four years old and started competing a lot when I was ten and I loved it. When I turned 12, I started going to a sports school where I got to play tennis during school hours, after 9th grade I started at the tennis high school in Uppsala to really be able to give it my all. I have been to Dubai and Kuwait in international youth competitions, got a few Swedish Championship bronze medals and played in the elite series.
After graduating I wanted to compete more internationally but unfortunately my back injury stopped me. I tried rehab and competitions for a year or so but then I couldn’t do it anymore. Today, over three years later, I can play for 1-2 hours a week before the pain takes over.
How do you get your everyday life together?
I have been very organized ever since I was little, I think it’s mainly thanks to tennis and the responsibility I’ve had to take on myself. Packing bags, preparing snacks and being on time were all parts of my everyday life already when I was a child.
Do you feel pressure regarding your appearance as a model and influencer?
There are many good things about social media: you can be inspired by others, get tips and meet new friends. But I don’t really know if the positive outweighs the negative. Luckily, I haven’t experienced that much online hatred yet, which may be due to the fact that I don’t have a huge amount of followers.
But one thing I have subconsciously been affected by is the focus on bodies on social media. There is an ideal you’re supposed to live up to, and if you don’t meet the criteria, you are not accepted. That’s why I try to encourage well-being and personal development in working out. Exercise should be something that makes you happy — you should exercise for yourself and your own goals, not for what the world thinks your body should look like.
How do you maintain the motivation for a healthy lifestyle?
I 100% believe in finding something that you think is fun to do. Whether it’s taking your dog for a walk, playing padel with friends or focusing on a sport doesn’t matter. As long as you enjoy what you do, it’s easy to keep your motivation up! I also don’t really believe in setting demands that are too high.
What do you cook when you don’t have a lot of time? Something quick and easy!
My go-to meal when I’m in a hurry is definitely a smoothie. The only requirement I have is that it should contain the three most important energy sources: carbs, fats and protein. My favorite recipe is: Banana, frozen strawberries, oatmeal, an egg, any kind of nut butter, quark and a little water.
Your best beauty hacks?
Wash your face properly and use a good moisturizer. Xlash Eye Gel Patches are magical!
When did you discover Xlash and what’s your favorite product?
I found out about Xlash a few years ago and was very impressed by what the eyelash serum could do for your lashes, then I got to try out some products last summer and now I’m hooked. I use the waterproof mascara every day since I don’t need to wash it off before working out. I can finally sweat and rub my eyes when working out without ending up looking like a raccoon!
What do you look forward to in 2021?
2020 has been a rough year for everyone, and what I look forward to most in 2021 is a summer full of hugs and cozy barbecue evenings with family and friends. Apart from that, my goal is to get my companies to grow and get the chance to help my clients achieve their goals and dreams. It would also be great if my back could cut me some slack so I can pick tennis back up and start competing again!
