Behind the scenes: This is how Xlash is made

Xlash has a triple-acting formula — it contains active, moisturizing and soothing ingredients. An example of an active ingredient is biotin peptide which is a combination of biotin and peptide that helps your natural eyelashes grow. A moisturizing ingredient is, for example, hyaluronic acid which can bind moisture a thousand times its own weight. We have also added soothing ingredients such as extracts of green tea and chamomile to make the formula as gentle as possible. The serum contains no artificial scents or dyes.

There are six people involved in different roles. It can be production, quality control and analysis lab.

There’s a lot of planning of the physical premises because it’s not allowed to manufacture different products on the same day. Distribution of roles in production usually looks like this: one person prepares and weighs all the ingredients, someone else prepares the mixer where hygiene control is to be performed before starting, mixing starts and takes about four hours. After that the tests begin and they take about three hours. When the mixture is preliminary, it’s quarantined awaiting further checks. So it’s a pretty long process.

After a week, when the formula is approved, we start filling the container and have an individual check of the entire bottle to make sure that everything is in the best condition it can be. They are sent into the filling machine continuously. After filling we check weight and for any leakage, and then close. The containers are then plasticized and packaged in its final packaging. It’s then sent over to Xlash Cosmetics’ own warehouse!

The quality controls and choice of ingredients. We perform many tests on incoming raw materials and ensure that they meet set regulatory requirements. We also do a lot of microbiological analyzes to establish purity.

It takes around five days from raw material preparation, mixing, control analyzes and then bottling.

We keep a close eye on the suppliers of all ingredients and ensure that they meet quality standards. Canopus must regularly carry out supplier evaluations to guarantee good quality and traceability. After the containers are filled, they wait in quarantine for up to two weeks for all analysis results before they are approved for sale.
