Perhaps you have been using Xlash Eyelash Serum for a while and realised there are a few questions you don't know the answer to. Or maybe you're thinking about giving it a try and want to read up on everything worth knowing before you decide. Let's go through some of the questions you might have!
You love your new lashes — but how long will the results last?
The truth is, it's difficult to say exactly how long it will take before your lashes return to how they were before. It depends on your natural lash growth cycle as well as other factors, such as whether you often rub your eyes, wear mascara, and so on.
Eyelashes have a natural lifespan of 3–4 weeks before they shed and are replaced, so you should at least be able to enjoy your lashes for a month. That said, most of our customers find that their lashes stay long and lovely for much longer than that — some even for up to a year!
The truth is that how long the positive effects last is very individual, and you'll simply have to wait and see.
What if I forget to apply Xlash one night?
Missing one night isn't a problem, but you really should try to apply Xlash Eyelash Serum every night to make sure you get good results quickly. This is a product designed to be used every day.
If you do happen to forget one night, it's not the end of the world. There's no need to try to compensate by applying double the amount the next day — just carry on as normal.
Does Xlash expire?
Like all other beauty products, Xlash serum does have an expiry date, which you'll find printed on the packaging. If you no longer have the packaging and you bought your serum not too long ago, it's most likely safe to use. This is a product that should ideally be used within a month of purchase, though it will remain effective beyond that. If the product has changed in texture or smell, replace it.
Can I apply Xlash in the morning instead of the evening?
The reason we recommend applying Xlash lash serum before going to bed is that the product then has the whole night to work uninterrupted. You shouldn't apply any makeup for a few hours after applying the serum. If you don't wear makeup, there's no real reason why you couldn't apply it in the morning instead.
What happens if I accidentally get Xlash in my eye?
Of course, you should try to avoid getting the product in your eyes — as with anything applied near the eye area. That said, Xlash lash serum is a product designed to be used very close to your eyes and is not particularly harmful. Simply rinse the eye with water, gently pat it dry, and apply the serum more carefully next time!
Can I use Xlash for more than a month?
If you'd like to continue using Xlash beyond the first month, you absolutely can. The reason we suggest one month is that this is the period after which most people have achieved satisfying results and simply don't need to continue using the serum any longer.
Some people who start out with very short or sparse lashes may find they benefit from using it a little longer, which is perfectly safe.
Can I get lash extensions while using Xlash?
Yes, you can safely get lash extensions without worrying about how the serum will affect them. Lash extension adhesive doesn't mix well with oil-based products, but since Xlash Eyelash Serum is water-based, there's no reason you can't use it alongside extensions.
In fact, some lash stylists recommend using Xlash when you have lash extensions, as it nourishes your natural lashes and makes them easier to work with. It also makes the transition less of a shock when you stop wearing extensions, since your natural lashes will still look great.
