Helene works at her own salon. She has been in the beauty industry for over 30 years and is, among other things, an authorized skin care therapist and has several certificates and further training in beauty treatments. Recently, browlifts have grown more and more popular, so we at Xlash Cosmetics decided to find out everything you need to know about the treatment.
What is a browlift?
A brow lift or brow lamination is a perm for the eyebrows where you shape them semi-permanently. In a brow lamination you also add vitamins and minerals. You can do a lift that is trendy now but also just to keep them in place.
How to make a browlift?
First, you clean the eyebrows to remove grease and apply the lotion that softens the hairs. Otherwise, they are quite stiff and difficult to work with. After that, I put on the perm lotion so that I can shape the brow as the customer wishes. The next step is to apply a plastic wrap and heat that is left on for about five minutes before wiping it off and applying a setting lotion. It contains proteins and minerals. Here you can also choose to dye the eyebrows. The last step I do is to apply a shine repair, a kind of keratin that builds up, strengthens and closes the skin. It also gives more volume, shine and color. The whole process takes about 40-45 minutes.
What should I think about before a browlift?
The treatment is never done on damaged skin, eczema, wounds or the like. If you use Xbrow Eyebrow serum for about a month before your treatment you get fuller brows which are perfectly combined with a browlift.
What should I think about after a browlift?
Avoid touching your eyebrows for the next few hours. Some variants require that you do not use creams or apply water within 24-48 hours. Ask your therapist!
What results can you expect?
A real wow effect! Either you keep them in place or you brush them up so that hey become bushier, which is very trendy right now. This is all of course done according to the customer's wishes.
Can Xbrow Eyebrow Serum help the eyebrows?
Yes, it can, absolutely! If the customer has sparse eyebrows it's perfect — I always recommend it. It's easier to shape the eyebrows with more hairs. I've seen several customers who have received fantastic results.
How long does a browlift last?
Everything from 4-8 weeks… It depends on the growth cycle and age of the customer.
Can you have a browlift done despite having thin, damaged or over-plucked brows?
Yes, but it won't quite be the same. As I said, Xbrow is a good start and after a month it will be easier to help the customer achieve the desired result.
Does it hurt?
No, not at all. It is a wonderful and relaxing moment.
